TOG (Thermal Overall Grade) measures how warm a sleeping bag is.

  • 0.5 TOG → Hot summer nights
  • 1.0 TOG → Mild temperatures
  • 2.5 TOG → Cooler rooms / winter

Choosing the right TOG ensures your baby doesn’t overheat or get too cold.

Room Temperature is Key

The ideal baby room temperature is between 16°C and 20°C (60–68°F).

Instead of guessing, many modern sleeping bags include a temperature indicator, helping parents quickly understand if their baby is comfortable.

How Should a Sleeping Bag Fit?

A proper fit is essential:

  • Snug around the neck and arms
  • Enough space for legs to move freely
  • Not too loose (to prevent slipping inside)

Always check size guidelines based on your baby’s height and weight.
